A new study from the Carbon Disclosure Project has hailed Cloud Computing as a major environmental breakthrough. The up-and-coming IT trend has the potential to greatly increase energy efficiency, reduce hardware used and cut business carbon emissions.

WEEE Systems recognises the long term benefits of cloud computing, however urges companies to consider now the immediate impact of implementing cloud computing. As outlined by Forrester Research’s recent report, there is a more immediate need to handle the redundant computing equipment during this transition phase to the cloud.
